The Scientific Committee invites authors to submit their abstracts for consideration and inclusion in the programme.
Abstract Authors: If you want to submit your Abstract, please click here. Your Abstract will be reviewd by dermatological and venereological specialists. Deadline for Abstract submission is 30 November 2006. You will be notified whether your abstract was accepted or not by 23 January 2007. Faxed or mailed abstracts will not be reviewed. Please read the following instructions carefully!
Speakers & Chairmen: Speakers and Chairmen of the Scientific Sessions are asked to submit their abstracts for inclusion and publication on the Congress Abstract CD. If you are a Speaker or Chairmen please submit your abstract by clicking here (these Abstracts will not be reviewed!). Please note that you do not have to choose a special topic.
Preparation of your Abstract:
- Abstracts must be submitted in English
- A “blind” selection process will be used. No identifying features such as names of hospitals, medical schools, clinics or cities may be listed in the title or text of the abstract. Do not include the names of authors either. The names of authors and their affiliations (institutions) will be registered separately when submitting the abstract on-line.
- The material in the abstract must be original and not have been published previously.
- The title should be as brief as possible but long enough to indicate clearly the nature of the study. Abbreviations must not be used in the title.
- The entire abstract must fit in the box provided on the electronic abstract form available at the Congress website. The dimensions of the printed area are: 120 mm (width) x 140 mm (height). Use "Times New Roman 12 points" font and single line spacing in the whole abstract. This equals approximately 300 words including the title.
- Do not use graphics or tables.
- Check spelling and grammar carefully. Direct reproduction from your electronically submitted abstract text means that any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific data will be reproduced as submitted.
- Use structured subheadings in italic font as follows:
Aims: a sentence describing the purpose of the study
Methods: Describe your selection of observations or experimental subjects precisely
Results: Describe your results in a logical sequence
Conclusions: Emphasize new and important aspects of the study and conclusions that are drawn from them. - Use generic names. Commercial drug names may not be used
